Kristen Carroll Wiig (; born August 22, 1973) is an American actress, comedian, producer, and writer who is best known for her work as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012. She was a member of the improvisational comedy troupe The Groundlings, and has appeared in several television series and films, including Bridesmaids, MacGruber, Flight of the Conchords, Adventureland, Paul, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Arrested Development.
